This is a traditional potato salad recipe from my mother. It is a mayonnaise based salad with potatoes, onions, and a lot of hard boiled eggs with a touch of mustard for a great flavor!
Another salad from my family, this was made by my German Grandmother and passed on to me. The carrots are thickly sliced with thinly sliced onions and bell peppers then marinated in the tomato vinegar dressing for a nice tangy taste. With no mayonnaise, this salad is perfect for an outdoor picnic.
A traditional mayonnaise dressing with a touch of mustard. This cole slaw would be perfect with fried chicken or pulled pork dish.
Another great traditional salad from my grandmother. Sliced potatoes, hard boiled eggs, onions, and plenty of bacon with a tangy vinegar based dressing. This was always served with my Oma's holiday baked ham and is best served warm, although it is also wonderful as a cold salad.
Another great dish also served for our family holiday meal of baked ham and German potato salad! This purple cabbage salad is cooked red cabbage with apple, clove, vinegar based dressing. Incredible served warm but equally great served cool.
