I, along with a team of 12 people from different professional background, set up an Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) to restore the urban green cover in the spring of 2012. I worked with Trion Technologies, the company responsible for developing and maintaining the application, as a development intern to help develop the application.

Leading a team of enthusiastic individuals at Texas A&M University in creating an IoT Application using Alexa APIs (Amazon's voice based cloud service). The members are from the Deptt of CSE and the Deptt of Public Health/Registered Nursing. The backend is being made in Node.js, MongoDB and Express.
The application is being made for creating ease of facility in hospital settings, with a request monitoring tool being integrated, which will help the hospital management keep better track of their service-times, by supervising the staff efficiency.
Part of the development team for a growing startup - Vize, which is creating a solution to provide employees in developing countries leverage more in improving their work conditions and therefore build a better work-life and overall balance.
The project is extremely challenging and exciting at the same time. Working at Startup Aggieland, one has to think from the standpoint of the users (factory workers in developing countries) while creating the application.
While giving both technical and strategic inputs, I have been working on segmenting, formatting and visualising the collected data using Python, D3.js, JavaScript. The communication and managerial co-ordination takes place through Slack, Trello, Google Hangouts and of course, GitHub.
