Grief is a journey that need not be travelled alone.
If a loved one has died, whether it is your spouse, your child, a family member or friend you may have found that there are not many people who know how to support you.
Through our peer to peer support called “companioning” we have well trained volunteers who have experienced grief through the loss of a loved one or have experience in bereavement support.
Julien’s House creates a place where companionship in a time of pain and grief leads to friendships which provide a path to learn to live again through conversation, companionship and compassion.
During the Pandemic many people are experiencing heightened anxiety, depression, grief and even suicidal thoughts. CMHA Windsor-Essex now has a Pandemic Response Therapist available to assist with mental health issues related to the impacts of COVID-19.
Ron’s magic brings smiles to our area’s sick kids every week!
Ron's interest in magic began in his teens, what started out as a hobby has evolved into performing at festivals, trade shows, corporate events and resorts. As busy as his schedule is he always finds time to volunteer for numerous charities. His work with Children's Hospitals has been featured in several articles from Windsor Star, Vancouver Sun and Ottawa Citizen. He also received the Friends of the Center Award from the John Mcgivney Children's Centre. Ron carefully plans each performance so that it is tailored to the guests and the venue. The day of the show he wakes up excited and ready to go above and beyond, always keeping true to his motto:
"Lets's Make Magic Happen"
