Early Head Start programs provide family-centered services for income-eligible families with children ages 18 months until their 3rd birthday. These programs are designed to promote the development of the children, and to enable their parents to fulfill their roles as parents and to move toward self-sufficiency.
Early Head Start programs provide similar services as preschool Head Start programs, but they are tailored for the unique needs of infants and toddlers. Early Head Start programs promote the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of infants and toddlers through safe and developmentally enriching caregiving. This prepares these children for continued growth and development and eventual success in school and life.
Following the general Head Start model, Early Head Start programs support parents, both mothers and fathers, in their role as primary caregivers and teachers of their children. Programs assist families in meeting their own personal goals and achieving self-sufficiency across a wide variety of domains, such as housing stability, continued education, and financial security.
Early Head Start programs also mobilize the local community to provide the resources and environment necessary to ensure a comprehensive, integrated array of services and support for children and families.

What is DRDP?
Desired Results Development Profile (DRDP) system is designed to improve the quality of programs and services provided to all children, birth through 12 years of age, who are enrolled in early care and education programs and before-and after-school programs, and their families. Desired Results are defined as conditions of well-being for children and families. Each Desired Result defines an overall outcome.

What is Learning Genie?
Learning Genie collaborates seamlessly on one child’s developmental portfolios and assessment, and submit one combined child assessment report back to the districts’ data system for integrated data analysis. This unique solution will support continuous education and collaboration across multiple programs to provide full-day learning programs. Both educators and parent guardians are able to collaborate together by inputting the child's data to better support their developmental progress throughout the program year.
