BIPOLAR DISORDER

Previously known as manic depression, bipolar disorder is a medical condition of the brain that manifests itself through episodes of mood swings that could range from irritability to depression to mania (feeling super-charged like you can do anything).

Approximately 2.8% of the US population is affected with bipolar disorder - which equates to over 9 million people.

Those with bipolar disorder are 10-20 times more likely to commit suicide.
