JUNE'S JOURNEY
June's Journey is the world's leading hidden object game and Wooga's biggest project yet. Set in the glamorous 1920s, this thrilling detective tale lets you search for hidden clues, uncover secrets, and explore stunning scenes full of suspense.
As part of the animation and tech team at Wooga, I worked on June's Journey as a rigger and animator. For the player's island decorations, lowpoly 3D assets are being used to fill the scenery with life. Working with strict limitations in vertex count and frames available, these assets have optimized performance for a mobile game as extensive as June's Journey. Through this project, I was able to deepen my understanding and practice in working with such limitations, working in close consultation with the artists and other technical artists. Additionally, I gathered insights into vertex animation textures and their potentials as well as their limitations.
