Nagar Shikshan Mandal was established in 1951, just after independence to start a school in the village Sindi (Dist. Wardha). The trust has following schools

The Development in rural through education is the major aim of this organization. A vast potential lies dormant amongst the children in rural areas and providing basic amenities is necessity for the development. Realizing that rural children are ruefully deprived of quality education at primary level Nagar Shikshan Mandal decided to take education one step ahead and started non aided primary school and Science Junior College.
Our goals can be briefly stated as follows-
1. To initiate village children to literacy and education right from pre-primary level .
2. To achieve this through intense participation of local village residents, educated up to 12th grade and perquisite qualification and empower them by special training , so that they create among children a lifelong interest towards education and self-development.
3. To promote all-round personality development of rural children. Although most of the schools would give stress on the curriculum, trust believes that at this age all round personality development is needed in areas like sports, arts and cultural activities. This has always been kept in ethos of the schools.
4. To accelerate the process of social change in the rural ethos with children as the catalysts.
There has been a steady growth of our activities over last 65 years considering the fact that the organization did not get any special funding and only local people donated to sustain this school. Major achievements could be pointed as follows.
· The middle school and high school established by our organization has become as one of the major schools in this area, So far about 10,000 village children have received training.
· We have started junior college about 35 years back to provide quality education for the village children. The situation faced by student in the village was again the same which was faced in 1951. Many students were not able to complete their education beyond 10th standard in the village. This junior collage is now established as a major collage for many students in the local area in science also. The junior college for science has also been introduced about 10 years back. This facilitated large number of local students who had to otherwise take admission in remote places to pursue the science stream in their junior colleges. This was especially a problem for girl students in the villages and as a result they were not opting for
science stream. But several girl students now could opt for science stream and continued their education in science, engineering and information technology.
· The Information Technology Laboratory is catering to all junior college students who opt for It as elective in their curriculum.
Some of the salient features of these activities are as follows.
· This school and college has also resulted in employment for many people in rural area.
· Since Trustees knew that the school has to operate in rural area which has large mass of poor people, no donation has been taken for the admission in the school. This is followed strictly till to date.
· Trust works strictly on the non profit basis and do not keep surplus cash other than required for the day to day running of the schools and present plans.
· School is also engaged in various social educational activities and has made impact at local level and also on satellite villages near to Sindi.
In this report we are summarizing some of the representative activities, which school has organized in last three years apart from regular teaching learning activities.
