We the executive of KESA, In order to promote and encourage interests of our members (Kenyan students’ do ordain and establish this WEBSITE for the government and communications of our association.
The above association has a membership of over 500 students who study at the International University Of Africa and other various Universities around Khartoum Sudan. The students are distributed in almost all the faculties at the different Universities.
The Association should:
i) strive to develop a real community of students by fostering peace and unity, which reflects a truly Moral ethos.
ii) act as liaison between the student community and the Kenyan Embassy in Sudan.
iii) act as liaison between the student community and the wider governing bodies of the university. iv) ensure that a high level of social and educational interaction exists between the Kenyan students and other existing student communities at the University.
v) provide a healthy forum for ideas and discussion on any relevant issue that will benefit the Association and its members.
vi) Organize guest speakers for the Association members on current and suggested educational programs, faith development and other matters of interest.
vii) assist in planning and organizing functions associated with the social, sporting, religious, cultural and educational life of the student community.
viii) all activities of this association must be directed towards this purpose.
The KESA Executive should:
i) be responsible for the planning, management, organisation and execution of the Association's affairs.
ii) hold regular (preferably twice in a semester) meetings to which should be invite all its members and other interested persons.
iii) conduct meetings in a fitting and proper manner with respect for accepted meeting procedures.
iv) use known and successful organisational tools, such as sub-committees and commissions, and discussion groups, to encourage wider participation, develop increased responsibility and to achieve more effective results.
v) appoint a person, or form a sub-committee, to be responsible for activities and dissemination of information pertaining to the Association's areas of responsibility to the members such as:
1) religious and educational matters.
2) social, cultural and sporting activities
RULES ON MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS ;
a) all members
i) must posses a Kenyan passport and be a registered student at the university.
ii) declare to uphold, abide by and defend this constitution.
iii) currently enrolled and KESA executive are eligible to be voting members.
iv) who are not currently enrolled are eligible to be non-voting members.
v) are required to demonstrate support for the purpose of this association.
vi) decisions will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender identity, marital status, disability, medical conditions, ancestry and any other ground.
vii) are required to pay a membership fee as agreed upon by the General Assembly.
