Resources For Those Impacted by Kerr County Flooding. Managed by Salvation Army Virtual Volunteer Information Team.
A list of resources for those impacted by the flooding including food, supplies, and where to request government assistance.
A list of organizations for donations and volunteer opportunities for people that want to help the community.
During this time, it is imperative to rely on official sources of information and participate in organized, structured relief efforts. Below are some guidelines to make volunteering and donations as efficient and safe as possible.
Do Not Disturb Large Debris Piles
We are still looking for victims. If a pile is large enough to need heavy equipment to clean, call 830-257-8181 to have the city send a search team to check the pile first. This applies to big tangles where a person could be. Smaller piles are fine to be cleaned up.
Burn Bans for All Kerr and Kendall Counties
Drones are Forbidden!
Do Not Come to Volunteer Without a Contact Person and Approval
NO search and rescue help is needed at this time in Kerrville. Outlying areas are still looking for search help.
See our How to Help section at the top for current volunteer needs.
Most Kerrville Donation Sites Are Full- No unvetted donations are being accepted in Kerrville. Sign up Here to donate and get a contact person! Other areas ARE looking for donations. See our How to Help section for details.
Due to the awesome but overwhelming response, Kerrville Distribution Centers are requesting all donations be registered prior to donating. Please also consider other communities that still have needs, such as San Angelo, Marble Falls, Leander, and Others.
Plenty of clothing has been received. Please consider donating used clothing to your local thrift store.
Biggest Current Need - Money Donations! Beware of Scammers.
Consider major, known organizations AND small places like Volunteer Fire Departments
Get the link / QR code DIRECTLY from your chosen organization's website or social media and verify spelling if you type in the Venmo to avoid scam sites that look ALMOST identical. Beware of GoFundMe requests, too.
This is NOT a general information box and is ONLY FOR RELATIVES.
Requests only need to be submitted once.
Individual questions and requests for information may not be addressed with a reply.
