Currently my main research interest is biomechanics. In particular, I am interested in estimating the muscle forces and muscle activity of athletes, using wearable IMU and EMG sensors and physics-informed machine learning. This will provide valuable information to trainers and coaches for designing specific training programs.
TÜBİTAK-1001 Project: Asymmetry Measurement in Volleyball Spike and Jump Motions Using Wearable Inertial Sensors (2025 -- 2027)
In the past I worked on recognition of daily and gym activities using wearable inertial sensors. Our paper on human activity recognition has been cited many times. Currently I am working on real-time activity recognition in volleyball.
I am interested in designing and characterizing low-cost touch sensors and pressure sensors to use in various settings, such as touch gesture recognition and ground reaction force distribution estimation in sports activities.
