I am an associate professor "Energy Transition & Industry" at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management of TU Delft. I am also a Research Fellow with the Energy Systems Integration & Modeling Research Group at the University of Leuven.
I hold a MSc in Energy Engineering, a MSc in Management and a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, all from KU Leuven. Between 2016 and 2022, I was a postdoctoral researcher in the Energy Systems Integration & Modeling Research Group (prof. E. Delarue & W. D'haeseleer) at the Mechanical Engineering Department of KU Leuven, funded by the Research Foundation-Flanders (FWO) and the Flemish Institute For Technological Research (VITO), at the University of Leuven and EnergyVille.
My research focusses on the modeling of energy systems, energy policies and market design, using techniques from engineering, economics and operations research.
You can reach me at k.bruninx@tudelft.nl. My CV is available here (last update: June 2022).
