KEM is a charming craft store that began its journey in 2022, founded by Juan Carlos Juan Solíz and Catarina Calel Méndez, who come from two different Mayan groups: Kaqchikel and Quiché. The name "KEM," which means "to weave with threads" in the Mayan language, reflects our passion for embroidery crafts and distinguishes us as a unique destination in Lake Atitlán.

Our team consists of 11 dedicated members who strive to bring life and color to each of our products using threads, fabrics, bags, and various other materials. Additionally, we offer the option to customize our items according to the tastes and ideas of our clients.
