Greetings! Welcome to our Website. Feel free to explore the sections and we appreciate any feedback you can give us.
Throughout the sessions, we have a variety of information that allows us to reflect on our perceptions of drugs and alcohol. We also learned about life skills which allowed us to know more about ourselves.
In the sessions, we learned the lifes kills on :
Self-awareness
Emotions
Personal values,
Communication
Personal relationships and boundaries
Goal-setting
The life skills I learnt were about how we can say no to drugs and the impact that they can have on our lives. I think that it is really important that we know how to apply life skills in these topics as I believe that many people will be in a position where drugs are involved, whether it be at a party, or even just someone you know that happens to take drugs. Knowing the consequences of taking drugs can not only allow you to stay drug-free, but can also potentially help someone who is going through addiction. I think that the life skills learned can reduce the risk of drugs and alcohol as the more people get informed about its effects, the more people will stay away from them.

We learned more about ourselves and important skills for the future, as well as what's right and wrong. Overall, how to become a better you. It is important to know these and apply them to our lives because it allows us to live a better lifestyle and stay content. Knowing the risks helps us understand them better and avoid them. Being aware of our emotions allows us to understand why we feel like such and what actions we can take about it. Having good communication helps avoid misunderstandings and have more friends which is beneficial for life. This allows us to respect ourselves and other people's boundaries and decisions. Understanding our personal values allow us to set our priorities accordingly and move forward with our lives. This pushes us to work harder and smarter about our future and explore the steps to take in order to succeed. We should never give up and stay motivated and always stay positive no matter what.

There are several things we can do to support our peers. First, be prepared for constructive criticism. It is important for us to be honest when someone shares their feelings with us. Start off by consoling them and offering your support, but do make sure that you tell them how it sounds or what should be done from a third person's perspective. Talking to someone can help people avoid seeking comfort in things like drugs and alcohol. There is a chance that it’ll come off as harsh, but at the end of the day it’s all coming from a place of love and we only want to help. Another very important thing is to use non-judgmental language when offering your support to a peer, as well as looking at the problem, not the person. When having a peer-to-peer conversation, it’s okay to offer your personal view, but we shouldn’t act as an authority figure or use judgmental language. Life skills help us reduce the risk of drugs and alcohol in various ways. First, being aware of emotions helps us greatly. Once we’re aware of what we’re feeling, it’s much easier to act upon our feelings and get help as opposed to not being aware of our feelings. It’s also good for us to learn to have good communication styles as we can share our emotions exactly how we feel easily and with comfort. We can even learn how different people interpret different things, hence making it easier to have a conversation about deeper things like personal feelings.

We learned a lot of useful things like more about drugs, alcohol, and their side effects. Knowing the harms of drugs and alcohol will definitely help us from not taking them in the future because people who aren't self-aware are more likely to use drugs and alcohol. It also helps because if we are able to control our emotions and stay happy, we won't need drugs and alcohol to cope with stress. If we have good communication, we can talk to others about our problems and use drugs/alcohol to get rid of the feeling of loneliness. If we know our personal relationships and boundaries well, we can easily resist the use of alcohol and drugs. If we make good and smart goals, we will be busy achieving those goals that we won't even have time for drugs and alcohol.
