Hello!

This website is made with the goal of providing a resource on drugs and alcohol knowledge and increase awareness on peer support. Social issues regarding drugs and alcohol will also be discussed.

It provides youth with resources on drugs and alcohol knowledge and tips on practicing peer support. As we move along the site, there are 4 topics covered: Drug and Alcohol Awareness, Peer Support Skills, Social Issues in Hong Kong and Lifeskills. These 4 topics are the topics we have learnt in our programme and these knowledge and skills allowed us to reflect a little bit more how drugs and alcohol affect people. These substances affect our relationships, our surroundings and different aspects of our lives.

We are from HKMA David Li Kwok Po College. Recently, we joined the ExCEL! Programme facilitated by KELY Support Group. Through this programme, we learned about the trends and risks of drug and alcohol use and how they can affect us directly and indirectly. We also learned lifeskills, including peer support, resistance strategies, and technical skills, such as this website design.

This programme also taught us the skills we need to build a campaign. Due to the pandemic, we thought of making a website to reach more people. Through the help of our mentors and facilitators, we were able to gather information and create the content needed for this campaign. We hope to convey messages of positive support and awareness with this website. We also hope we are all able to learn something new and discover facts that we can share with our peers and classmates. By sharing this information, we hope we all can learn more and reflect on how we can make a safe and non-judgemental environment for our peers and us!
