NetScope and NetScope Pro ("we", "our", or "us") respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile applications handle information.

1. Overview

NetScope (Free) and NetScope Pro (Paid) are network analysis tools designed to help users:

• Analyze nearby Wi-Fi networks

• Measure internet connection performance (Speed Test, Ping, Traceroute)

• View detailed network information

• Scan devices connected to the local Wi-Fi network

• Perform subnet calculations

• Run DNS lookups

• Perform Whois queries

The apps operate primarily on your device and do not require account registration.

2. Data Collection

We Do NOT Collect Personal Data

We do not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII), including:

• Name

• Email address

• Phone number

• GPS location

• Contacts or media files

We also do not collect persistent device identifiers such as Android ID.

3. Network Information Processing

The apps process and display network-related information locally on your device, including:

• Local IP address

• Gateway IP

• DNS servers

• Wi-Fi network name (SSID)

• Signal strength and connection details

• Nearby Wi-Fi networks

• Devices connected to your local network (IP and MAC addresses, when available)

• Network path analysis (Traceroute hops)

• Latency and packet response times (Ping)

Important:

• All network data is processed locally on your device

• No network data is stored on external servers

• No network data is shared by the app

• No background monitoring or continuous tracking is performed

The app only scans devices within the same local network.

4. External Network Requests

Some features require communication with external servers:

• Speed Test: connects to measurement servers

• DNS Lookup: queries public DNS servers

• Whois Lookup: queries domain/IP registries

• Ping & Traceroute: send network packets to target hosts

Important:

• These operations may transmit your IP address as part of standard internet communication

• No personal data is included

• We do not control how third-party services process requests

5. Permissions Usage

The apps request permissions strictly required for functionality:

• INTERNET

Used for:

• Speed tests

• DNS / Whois queries

• Ping / Traceroute

• Retrieving public IP

• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE

Used to:

• Detect connection type

• Ensure proper tool behavior

• ACCESS_WIFI_STATE

Used to:

• Retrieve Wi-Fi details (SSID, signal strength, link speed)

• NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES

Used to:

• Discover nearby networks and devices

Important:
Used only for network analysis
Not used for location tracking
Declared with neverForLocation

• ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION

Used to:

• Access Wi-Fi SSID (required by Android system)

Important:

• Not used for location tracking

• Required by Android OS for Wi-Fi access

• CHANGE_WIFI_MULTICAST_STATE

Used for:

• Local network discovery (ARP, mDNS)

• CHANGE_WIFI_STATE

Used for:

• Supporting Wi-Fi operations and compatibility

6. Advertising

Free Version (NetScope)

The free version may display ads.

Third-party advertising providers may use:

• Advertising ID

• Device information

• Interaction data

This is handled by third-party SDKs under their own privacy policies.

Paid Version (NetScope Pro)

• No ads

• No Advertising ID usage

• No third-party advertising services

7. Data Sharing

We do not share any user data.

However, third-party services may process data in specific cases:

• Advertising providers (Free version only)

• DNS / Whois / Speed test servers

8. No Tracking

We do not use:

• Analytics SDKs

• Tracking tools

• User profiling systems

9. Local Data Storage

The apps may store limited data locally on your device:

• App settings

• Previous results

This data:

• Remains on your device

• Is never transmitted externally

10. Children’s Privacy

Our apps are not directed to children and do not knowingly collect personal data.

11. Security

We implement reasonable measures to ensure data remains local and secure whenever possible.
