Pawsome Pets marked the start of my experience in commercial design. Working in pairs and guided by our instructor, we were introduced to an existing space and challenged to transform it into a fully realized retail environment. The project was designed to immerse us in the role of a commercial designer, encouraging us to think critically and creatively about concept development, spatial planning, and the overall customer experience. This early project helped build the foundation for how I approach commercial spaces today.

We wanted to create a place where people with pets feel safe and can find everything they need. We wanted to include a space where people can bring their pets to get groomed and have an opportunity to interact with other dogs. We also have the basic dog and cat products, such as food, toys, leashes, etc. We also wanted to give our customers a comfy place to sit and relax either outside or inside, while they wait for their dog to get groomed. We included a space outside that includes turf and a fenced-in area to allow the dogs to play, and we also included seating and tables outside for our customers to sit at.
