Replicating Keepsake Technologies

Over the past 20+ years, HCI researchers have been exploring “technology-mediated memory” systems: specially designed objects with digital multimedia recording, storage, and playback ability, typically designed for individuals to keep and share their memories with each other digitally. We call these "keepsake technologies."

The Memory Museum features replication projects of keepsake technologies focused on family memories, collective remembering, and storytelling.
