How it Works
How it Works
During the Townwide Cleanup from 8am–noon (rain or shine) at the Rec Field, volunteers from Keep Hubbardston Beautiful will be on hand to distribute trash bags (you can also use your own bags), pails (while supplies last) to fill with trash that you pick up from Hubbardston's roadsides, trails, and open spaces.
There are no assigned routes; just pick a place you want to beautify and go for it!
Collect trash during the event or start doing it now. Bring it to the Rec Field during the Townwide Cleanup. Either way, a friendly KHB volunteer will point you in the direction of the Big Red Dumpster, graciously donated by Pleasant View Waste Removal.

When you’re out collecting, be sure to wear bright clothing and be aware of traffic.

Wear gloves, masks, and practice social distancing. Do not collect dangerous items, such as medical waste and hazardous materials. If you find something that could be considered toxic, hazardous, or dangerous, call 911.
What kind of trash is acceptable?

Anything you pick up from Hubbardston's roadsides, trails, and open spaces! From cigarette butts to old tires, if it fits in the Dumpster, we'll generally take it!

No household trash, hazardous waste, sharps, construction debris, scrap metal, stumps, brush, etc.

The Girl Scouts will be holding a can and bottle drive at the Rec Field during Keep Hubbardston Beautiful Clean-up Day on April 16. Please bring your clean, empty redeemable bottles and cans to help fund their Scout adventures!
