My journey into hair and makeup began in 2014 when I started beauty school in Sonora, California, on the western edge of the Sierra Nevadas, near Yosemite. Growing up there surrounded by mountains and nature shaped the way I approach my work intentional, grounded, and detail-focused.
Before fully committing to my career behind the chair, I also spent six years working in aviation with American Airlines. That chapter of my life deepened my love for travel, culture, and connection experiencing different places, people, and perspectives has strongly influenced my approach to hair and client relationships. I’m an aviator at heart, endlessly inspired by airplanes, movement, and seeing the world, whether through travel, food, or new experiences.
Today, I bring all of that into my work as a stylist: a balance of creativity, structure, and care. My goal is for every client to feel relaxed, understood, and confident not rushed or overwhelmed. doing hair doesn’t feel like work its a passion that keeps burning!
About the Name
The name Keelsvon has been part of my identity for years. “Keels” began as a longtime nickname, and “von” comes from my last name, von Savoye a German lineage I’ve always felt connected to. I adopted Keelsvon as my Instagram handle back in early high school in 2011, even then knowing it would grow into something meaningful. Over time, it became a brand rooted in authenticity, creativity, and individuality. Collective reflects the heart of the space inclusive, approachable, and non-intimidating. It’s a place where all are welcome, and where hair is treated as personal, expressive, and collaborative. The word collective also represents the shared nature of the space and the creative community it lives within.
