Background: For this piece I was trying to place my wife on this dock I took a picture of, I sampled a picture of her from one on a cliff up Logan Canyon

Design:

• Color: I tried to make her match the color and choose a picture that could match the shadows of the dock

• Size: I tried to size the mask correctly to make sure she is consistent with her surroundings and not giant.

• Shading: I used the burn tool to create the appearance of a shadow beneath my wife on the dock to blend her more into the pier

Photoshop Skills Used:

• Masking: Used to create the metallic lettering and darken the table without destroying the image

• Gradient: Used to darken the top to direct the attention to the logo and the bottom where the tool is placed

• Exposure: Used in conjunction with a mask to brighten the tool and the lettering
