Letter Requirements

• The swimmer must earn 32 points over the course of the season.

• Points are earned as follows for individual events at dual meets:

    Dual Meets - 1st place = 4 points, 2nd place = 3 points, 3rd place = 1 point   

    St. George & Districts - top 3 = 10 points, top 8 = 5 points, top 16 = 2 points

    Region - number of points scored

State - number of points scored x2

• Relays count for 1/4 points for meet points earned (example state meet 1st place is 40 points x2 or 20 points each)

• Bonus points may be earned with good attendance.  One bonus point may be earned for each full week of practice attended.  Weeks begin on Mondays.  A maximum of 12 points may be earned in this manner.

• All team members who have been on the team for three consecutive years will letter automatically.

• Final decisions about lettering are based on the coaches discretion.  Swim team members must be in good standing at the end of the season.
