The Kansas City, Missouri Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (KCMO CPAAA) is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers who are graduates of the Kansas City, Missouri Citizen Police Academy. Current or former Kansas City Police Department employees are also welcome to join us.
The Citizen Police Academy is an 11-week program that consists of an overview of the KCMO Police Department, patrol functions, tours and site visits of various departments, demonstrations and presentations covering family violence, drug and DWI enforcement, pursuit policies, crime prevention, personal safety and crime scene investigation techniques.
The program is open to new participants twice yearly (Spring, Fall). Participants must be at least 18 years old and live or work in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Kansas City, Missouri Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (KCMO CPAAA) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to supporting the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department and its community policing programs.
It is organized exclusively for educational and charitable purposes under IRS code and is funded solely through member dues and donations. It receives no funding from the Kansas City Police Department.
