Association meetings are held every other month and include an educational topic and association updates. Experienced police officers provide demonstrations and engage in frank discussions about police operations in areas such as K-9 unit, crime laboratory, cybercrime, and narcotics investigations. Speakers have also come from community organizations that work closely with the Police Department.

Fundraising
The Association provides the KCPD with materials and equipment (such as Narcan® kits to the K-9 and Bomb & Arson units) to help police officers, and funds activities to support community-oriented policing through fundraising activities.
These activities have included partnerships with restaurants, raffles, a GoFundMe campaign and individual donations. We also accept donations through the Amazon Smile program.
