The purpose of this advertisement is to advertise as well as inform the people who doesn't know there is a new smart watch out from Apple. This helps spread the word as this commercial is out to TVs and Youtube which a lot of people around the whole who is capable of owning a TV will be informed.

The video is very recent, meaning people who watch it won't be left out or be behind depending on the day the audience watches the video, but usually this commercial has the aim of people watching it around the time of release so they get the new immediately. This video is posted on youtube and compared to underdeveloped countries, having youtube is a luxury so people who are watching will at least be in a more developed country and have decent background.
