Academic Projects
The aim of this project is to manufacture a steel, aluminum and copper melting furnace. For this project we used cast iron made drum and refractory bricks inside the wall of the drum. There is a chamber inside the furnace to place samples and a controlled system is installed to control the fuel and air pressure.
Through this project a photocatalytic chamber was manufactured where an UV light and a aging system were installed at the top of the chamber. UV ray is directly strike the experimental solution.
Through this project a failure gas turbine nozzle had to analyzed to identify the failure mode and reasons behind that failure. To identify the causes of the defect, several lab test and characterization such as microscopic examination, metallographic analysis and fractography.
The main theme of the project is the showing of point defect and the mechanism by the means of substitutional atom. The substitutional atom may be larger or smaller in size from the parent atoms causing the compressive or tensile force on the neighboring atoms.
The main purpose of this project is the showing of planar defect and the mechanism by the means of stacking fault. The defect may be caused by intrinsic or extrinsic stacking of fault causing the addition or missing a layer at the stacking sequence of the planar structure.
