A course that will allow me to explore and and experiment with new materials and techniques in a 3-D setting. I can then further utilize what I've learned in future artistic endeavors. This course will allow me to not only further expand how I view myself as an artist, but as well as how I see the world.

Bees make their homed in their beehives, filled with honeycomb made from flower pollen.
Layers in the resin and the tiers of the resin represent hierarchy in beehives.

I grew up in an American house, but am influenced by my Asian heritage.
Combining 2 previous works of homes to represent my two cultures.

Inspired by the many windchimes I had and houses from rural Malaysia.
Each house was made imperfectly to mimic those in rural Malaysia, and to emphasize hardship.

This was my childhood home in the US.
Added greenery and beads to make the house feel more alive and homely.

Utilizing color and sizes of materials to contrast and synthesis the different pieces of my works.

Tree branches receive the life, and nests are basically bird bowls.
Combining a variety of materials to tell a story complete with levels and planned spacing.

Wings growing from the edge towards the middle, then are fragile and blackened when old.

Layering cardboard mache and leaving raw frames as interest points

Never thought I'd be given permission to hot glue a table.

A little bit broke off so I looked for dents I could place it.
I squished the plaster randomly and made use of a broken off piece.
Form 2

A fairly smooth side and a rough side for contrast.
After squishing the plaster I carved a little deeper to add extra texture.

Head empty, no thoughts, just squish.
