Hi, I'm [ Kayla ]! I own a 4x5 camera, crochet needles, and some kids.

I am a multidisciplinary artist working across photography, print, paper, and fiber. My practice centers on the human impulse toward narrative — the stories individuals construct from uncertainty and emotional longing that, over time, accrue the weight of truth. I'm drawn to slowness as a method and scatteredness as a honest condition of making.

An avid weirdo cyclist, I have traveled extensively with camera in hand, my work shaped by sustained attention to wonder in a world aggressively trying to sell it back to you. I'm still figuring it out, and consider that central to the work and life.
