🎉 I am thrilled to officially announce that I have filed for election to serve on the Westwood ISD School Board of Trustees District 3.

🏠 My husband, Al, and I have been residents in the same home in WISD for 46 years. 

📕 I attended Westwood High School. 

✏️ All three of my children, Brandie, Taylor, and Zachary, attended WISD schools from grades K-12 from 1983-2009. 

🗂️ I had the pleasure of working at Westwood High School for 25 years as an Administrative Assistant, and recently retired in June 2024. For 12 of those years, I was the WHS Cheer Sponsor, and was also awarded Paraprofessional of the Year in 2016 and again in 2019. 

❗️Served as the School Guardian for eight years at Westwood High School, which included a criminal background check, physical evaluation, and a psychological evaluation.

⛪️ Member of Calvary Christian in Oakwood.

As a proud 46-year resident of District 3 and a retired 25-year employee of Westwood ISD, I know there is important work to do in our schools and our community. As we look to the future, my focus will be to:

• build transparency with all stakeholders.

• empower our schools.

• listen to the needs of our community.

• ensure that every decision made will be what’s right by our students, parents, and educators.
