In this artwork, I used Adobe Illustrator to recreate iconic cartoon characters (Homer and Bart from The Simpsons) but with a unique twist and a local cultural setting. I redrew the characters entirely using digital illustration tools, then recolored them and immersed them in a Gulf-inspired atmosphere drawn from Kuwait’s past—specifically, the days of the sea, pearl diving, and fishing around Failaka Island. The design features a traditional scene aboard a Boom ship, historically used for pearl diving and fishing. Through this blend, I aimed to create a visual narrative that bridges global cartoon culture with Kuwaiti heritage, connecting nostalgia with modernity, and childhood with culture.
