Civil engineering technology is developing around the world day by day. The modern civilization is being built by using modern technology in Planning, Designing, constructing, and even monitoring the performance of civil engineering infrastructure throughout its service life.
Generally, a structure starts losing its performance after 5 years of its construction. So it is necessary to know about the health condition for safe serviceability. A destructive test method was performed earlier to perform the test in order to inspect and monitor the structural performance. It hampers structural strength and durability sometimes.
In order to solve the issue, a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) method was invented with three integrated modern technologies, including Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and the UPVR Rebound Hammer Test.
It was a wonderful session titled "Global Technology, Local Expertise" conducted by Iconic Engineering Limited and organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, DUET, in association with the ASCE Student Chapter, DUET. The assistant manager (technical operation) of Iconic Engineering Ltd., Enggr. Aman Ullah presented an informative lesson and shared his thoughts and profound knowledge of ideas, functions, uses, benefits, and future scopes of modern technology, including structural GPR, 3D modeling, UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle), and PIT (pile integrity test) that a civil engineer must know. After the session, a thrilling product exhibition and field performance were shown in front of the students who participated in the event.
Thank you so much, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Alauddin Sir, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, for giving us such an opportunity to engage us in this exciting session.

CE Fest 2k24 was a great experience in my life with unlimited rush and mental pressure. It was a kind of unimplementable event that we had taken at the eleventh hour. The fest committee was published just 7/8 days before, and we had no preparation and no progressive materials or preparation to follow, so we could proceed with our activities to execute the fest.
Besides, the most challenging mega event, CEvilization 2024 (Season 1), was also held on 11 May 2024, just two days before. As a result, we had to work tooth and nail for night-long periods for both segments in parallel.
Heartfelt gratitude to Asst. Prof. Dr. Suman Mia, advisor of CE Fest 2k24. Your appreciation, support, suggestions, and effort on our rainy day make our event visible. We will not forget your contribution to our crucial moment.
Thank you so much, Md Sajjad Hossain Rifat and Mehedi Hassan Shorif, convenor of the fest, for accepting the challenging responsibility, which was quite impossible. I will be owed to all batchmates of CE 35 (Oniruddho) for your best effort to complete the event successfully.
We'll miss all of my beloved seniors (CE-34 Batch). I hope we have gifted you the best program tribute that will be recalled in your mind forever.

It was an honor to present our academic poster titled โ๐๐ฐ๐จ ๐๐ก๐๐ฌ๐ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐ง ๐๐ญ ๐๐๐ณ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐ก๐จ๐ฐ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐โ under the Department of Civil Engineering, Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology. The study focused on improving traffic flow and safety at the busy Gazipur Chowrasta at-grade intersection by designing a two-phase signal system based on the Webster Method. Key elements included calculating saturation flow, optimizing cycle length, and assigning green times for the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway and Joydebpur-Tangail road.
Despite challenges like limited data and ongoing construction on the Dhaka approach, our findings offer practical recommendations to reduce congestion and pedestrian conflicts. Grateful to our mentor, MAHIMAN ZINNURAIN Sir, and the team for making this learning experience so impactful in my university life.ย
