With expertise spanning program development, organizational leadership, and cross-cultural initiatives, Kawn has built their career through self-teaching and life experiences. In 2023, they began pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Community, Public Affairs, and Policy Studies, with a Minor in Immigration Studies. Their academic journey is already enriched by numerous scholarships and research contributions.

Kawn has held influential leadership roles, including serving as Co-Executive Director at Action LGBTQ+ avec les immigrantEs et les réfugiéEs (AGIR), where they developed strategies to address the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ immigrants and refugees. As a co-founder of community collectives like Mubaadarat and Sijil, Kawn continues to empower communities through cultural initiatives and artistic development. Furthermore, Kawn has founded several underground initiatives supporting LGBTQ+ individuals in criminalized communities across various countries in the MENA region. These efforts, both on the ground and virtually, have demonstrated their ability to navigate the delicate balance of providing critical support while ensuring personal safety.

Fluent in Arabic and English, with intermediate proficiency in French, Kawn is a sought-after speaker and facilitator at international conferences. They have addressed critical topics such as intersectionality, anti-trans violence, and LGBTQ+ migration.
