How did we get here?

How did we get here? We have each completed a minimum of 8 years of undergraduate training including a medical degree. We also have a minimum of 2 years family medicine residency training and extra in the field of obstetrics. As family physicians we look at the entire health experience of our patient. Not only do we manage pregnancy, we take into account the greater physical, social, culture and emotional context of our patient's journey.

We have a combined 50 years of experience in managing labour and delivery in the City of Kawartha Lakes. At the Ross Memorial Hospital we are leaders in NRP training and the management of newborns. We are present at all high risk deliveries to help ensure the safety of parent and child. We have a strong relationship with our regional pediatric partners and participate in routine quality improvement initiatives.
