Artistic interpretive projects inspired by meeting with UofA medical students to discuss chronic illness
As a patient mentor, I bring a different lens to the interpretive projects, as I am able to express what chronic illness is like from personal experience. Sharing my experiences with medical students helps me to reflect about what having chronic illnesses means, and how they have affected my life.
For those who prefer to read the written word rather than interpret art, here are some of my essays and I may even add in the odd poem.
Students complete projects at the end of their second year. Each group of Mentees have inspired me to also create a project.
