Throughout this past academic year, I was given the opportunity to present my collaborative research at a number of political science conferences. Between myself and two other students, our research was presented at PRIEC at University of North Texas, Southern Political Science Association (SPSA) annual conference, Western Political Science Association (WPSA) annual conference, and Midwest Political Science Association (MPSA) annual conference.

(Accepted in April 2022) “Conceptualizing and Contrasting the Salience of Crisis Framing in Immigration Coverage by American Newspapers, 1980-2021.” In (Re)presentation of Refugees in Media: Local and Global Perspectives, Edited by Nasir Uddin & Md. Delwar Hossain.


This edited book chapter focuses on crisis framing by American newspapers. My role as a coauthor on the project is through data collection, literature review, quantitative coding, and analysis of findings.
