This presentation will discuss the K-12 online learning platform. Included in this presentation are descriptions, insight and information on K-12 online learning as well as its advantages and disadvantages for schools, educators, students and parents.
This workshop was created with a focus on personalized and blended learning using technology. The workshop offers a progressive approach for educators just starting their personalized and blended learning journey. Breakout sessions start at Blended Learning 101, an introduction to the 4 models of blended learning and how to reach our 21st century learners. This was a collaborative group project.

The framework for the Community of Inquiry is important in the role of the past, present and future of online learning. The work was completed and researched by John Dewey. The continued research in the early 2000's and now continues to shape 21st century learning.

Teachers can facilitate the guide or use it as an individual project for students to navigate and apply towards online learning.
Using Smore, this flyer was designed for students to understand and recognize the benefits and risks of using social media. Students explore both the positive and negative effects of social media and how netiquette impacts online learning.
The purpose of this video is to inform and educate others about the importance and value of mentors. Students in an online learning environment are removed from the typical face to face interactions of a brick and mortar school environment. The video made with Powtoon, describes the benefits to students and the expectations that a mentor can expect in supporting students in this environment.
This google site page was a Digital Breakout EDU at the end of an 8th grade Health unit on Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs. Students used prior knowledge, collaboration and critical thinking skills to "breakout" of Survivor Island.
This Google site was designed as a presentation tool for a recent In-service for Health and Physical Educators in the Fall of 2018. It was the re-introduction of a site that enhances the use of technology in Physical Education.

Alignment table that was created for PBL unit - Franklin Academy. This unit content is Alcohol, Tobacco & Other Drugs and Injury & Violence Prevention. The content was designed to be delivered as online content, but was also delivered in a blended learning 1:1 environment in Fall 2018.
Rise Above the Stigma Wellness Center was created to educate students about Mental Health & Wellness and Emotional Social Health. This unit focuses on teaching students about different aspects of these important topics while relating them to real life situations using a google site and intertwining google classroom as the LMS in a 1:1 blended school environment. These 8th grade Health units were implemented over three weeks in the Spring of 2019.
