Instructional Leadership

My tenure as a math educator allowed me the experience to develop and implement instructional programs and teaching practices with a focus on differentiated instruction and student learning styles. This, along with positive working relationships with colleagues, across grade levels and other schools, created professional conversations and collaborations, ultimately increasing student achievement. It is also important to note, peer mentorships are also vital.  Students learn best from each other.  Through my work, I created peer mentorship programs between  our middle school to our elementary feeder schools:  https://tinyurl.com/Peer-Investment

I personally believe instructional leadership also encompasses awareness of mental health.  Students learn best when their social and emotional well-being is supported and prioritized.  I am proud to say I have worked with Ross Szabo with the Geffen Academy at UCLA to advocate and support student success inside and outside of the classroom.
