Coach Kathy’s experience and resume both speak volumes as a highly accomplished coach. For her, however, coaching goes far beyond her elite level of knowledge; she is incredibly passionate and athlete-driven, caring as much about personal growth and development as she does athletic progression. She coaches with unparalleled passion and dedication and is able to reach all levels via precise language, demonstration and focus on the why.

Coach Breece is the greatest coach I have played for. She is very knowledgeable and willing to teach. I have learned from her for over a decade and I am still learning, whether it be softball or life. I have had opportunities to coach with her at different camps for younger and older players. During these camps I continue to learn from her about the game of softball and coaching young players. Coach Breece is one of the best in the game and I will always encourage all players to seek her guidance.

Kathy Moody Breece was my high school softball coach from my freshman year through my senior year. She is undoubtedly the reason I was able to play college softball and is the reason I have a lifelong love for the game.
Her knowledge, dedication, and passion for the game are what make her an exceptional coach. Beyond that, her heart, character, and genuine care for her players are what truly make her an incredible person. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from her both on and off the field.

Kathy was my softball coach for three years. During that time, I played as a catcher and was also a left-handed switchhitter. Both of these roles require a strong strategic mindset and natural leadership on the field.
Kathy was not only an excellent coach when it came to mechanics, but she also taught me the deeper strategy of the game and how to develop the mindset needed to lead a team. She coached with patience, understanding, and a genuine dedication to helping her players grow both as athletes and as individuals.
With her support and endorsement, I went on to play at Alpena Community College. I can confidently say that she is one of the reasons I am where I am today, about to graduate with my Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and starting my career with Alpena Power Company.
I am grateful for the impact Kathy had on my development.
