Coach Breece began her softball career at Central Michigan University (CMU) as a walk on in 1983. By her senior year, she helped lead CMU to the NCAA Softball World Series, finishing 5th in the nation. Following college, she spent two summers touring overseas with Athletes in Action, a sports ministry organization.
Coach Breece went on to coach varsity softball at Elk Rapids and Traverse City West while teaching high school and founding the Elk Rapids Alternative Education High School. She played a key role in developing Northern Michigan's travel softball community, including forming the Northern Michigan Wave 16-U team in the early 2000's. Her more recent travel coaching experience with The Traverse City Thunder 16-U select team resulted in five athletes advancing to the collegiate level.
A seven-time Hall of Fame inductee as both a player and coach, Coach Breece has been recognized by the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association, Belding High School Athletics, American Softball Association, CMU Athletics (1986 team), and the Michigan High School Coaches Association, Elk Rapids High School Athletics, and Greenville High School Athletics (1983 team).
For 25 years, Coach Breece also helped grow the game across Northern Michigan by organizing collegiate fall competitions, bringing teams such as Central Michigan University, University of Michigan, Michigan State University, Notre Dame, Western Michigan University, Ferris State University, Grand Rapids Community College, and Northwood University to the area.
In 2018, she founded Frame It Up Softball as a way to continue sharing her passion for the game. Through clinics and private lessons, she focuses on teaching strong fundamentals while challenging athletes to reach their full potential. Many Frame It Up Softball athletes have gone on to compete at the collegiate level.
