Regional Auxiliary Variation: Interaction, Writing, Cognition

My dissertation deals with the areal synchronic auxiliary variation of perfect tense with telic verbs in the Low German area. According to the network idea of construction grammar, these linguistic signs are examined in their formal as well as functional spectrum and their interaction with constructions in the tempus-aspect and tempus-diathesis interface. The relevant research in the field of auxiliary selection is followed by work with the desideratum of mediality- and processing-conditioned variation in interaction, writing and cognition. As an interdisciplinary approach, it is based on theoretical and methodological approaches of conversation analysis and psycholinguistics. The work is written in German.
