Facial Expressions

During this one day lesson, students explored the basics of the main six facial expressions. Through this, they also learned how to successfully convey emotion through the placement, angle, and shape of facial features. Students were encouraged to use icons and symbols to further exaggerate their drawings. Instead of focusing only on realism, this project's goal was to get students comfortable with understanding how to communicate emotion in their sketches.
