When I read Frankenstein from the Novel by Mary Shelley in a new adaptation by Dorothy Louise, the most evident theme to me was the relationship between ambition and isolation shown by the characters. Society has always tried to push the boundaries of scientific discovery. Once it was alchemy and resurrection, now it’s technology and artificial intelligence. No matter the time, this solitary pursuit of progress can lead people to suffer major consequences. I chose a futuristic setting and created my designs in a cyber style, in hopes of bringing awareness to the risks of living in a progress-driven world.
