Here's the finished piece. I'm happy that I did do the overlapping for the outer circle for the D as when I added the hatching with the stippling to show the overlapping better it really brought together the piece especially that one part. The outline border with the smaller D I feel works best especially when I used I thicker white pen to fill it in then the stippling made it pop more for the border. But also standing out with the stippling of the butterfly wings unlike the rest of the piece just having the wings filled in. One thing I would definitely fix or change on this piece is the center D and have it more centered and filled out the same as the other smaller D's to fit a lot better. Also with that inner ring and for some of the white I filled in fully with a white paint pen it wasn't as opaque as I would have liked, but the pen was eating at the paper so I added lines within that white part to add a little more texture. Other than that it was really fun working with black paper and white pens for the first time and learning which type of white materials work best for me.
