Psychotherapy, often referred to as talk therapy, is a collaborative process between a trained mental health professional and a client. It provides a safe, confidential environment where individuals can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in depth.
The primary goal of psychotherapy is to help clients understand themselves better and develop healthier coping strategies for dealing with life's challenges. This may include addressing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and other emotional difficulties.
Sessions are typiccally fifty-five minutes long over telehealth. In our first couple of sessions, we will spend time getting to know each other. Establishing a good therapeutic relationship is the key to a successful therapy experience. In addition, we will explore what has brought you to therapy, your goals, and how I can best support you in your therapeutic journey.
