Drilling is used to drill holes at set locations on your stock.
The center of the drilling locations are defined with points, you will need to place these points into the following layer in the Rhino document:
KaroroCAM/Drilling
Drilling Toolpath
For the Drilling toolpath only the Drill Bit is available:
Drill Bit
Sets the diameter of your tool bit in mm.
Select Tool number that matches the tool spec'd in your tool path - mostly important for machines with auto tool change ability.
Sets the spindle speed for this operation in your GCode output file
Selects the reference position for the drilling depth. Can be:
Selected Points - the cutting depth will be referenced to the points in the Drilling layer in the Rhino document. These can all be at different Z heights
Stock Top - Drilling depth is referenced to the top of the current stock - all drilling will be done to the same depth
Stock Bottom - Drilling depth is referenced to the bottom of the current stock - all drilling will be done to the same depth
NOTE: Drilling Depth Offset is a Z offset from this selection
Offset in mm in the Z direction from the selected Drilling Depth Position of the final drilling depth.
Check this box to enable multiple depth engraving paths
NOTE: When Multiple Depths is selected in Drilling the drill bit will be fully withdrawn from stock on after each pass to the multiple depth positions.
Maximum step down in mm per pass when doing multiple depth drilling.
NOTE: If the total cutting depth (Stock top - Drilling Depth Position + Drilling Depth Offset) is not an even division by this number the deepest pass will be less than this number.
