HOW TO DEAL WITH AN ANT INFESTATION

• For ant control and management; locate ant colony (outside or inside), inspect cracks, holes, food debris, expansion joints, slabs.

• Physical control methods; housekeeping rules, store food waste in containers with tight lids, ensure living rooms are free from food debris, seal off cracks with silicone but use dust before sealing.

• For habitat alteration; mortar missionary cracks, caulk door and window frames, repairing water leaks, trim shrubs and maintain compound.

• For chemical control; includes selecting insecticidal soap, boric acid, pyrethrum for bait, dust and sprays.

• For baits, we use baits with stomach poisons / insect growth regulators. Please when applying baits don’t spray baits.

• For dust chemicals; apply them in wall cracks by blowing the dust in walls before sealing.

• For spray applications; these should be applied in cracks. Apply wettable powder and micro encapsulated spray formulations where insecticides maybe absorbed into surfaces also in drilled holes
