Ford Park

A thirty four acre working cemetery in the heart of the city of Plymouth. Founded in 1848 now owned and managed by the Ford Park Cemetery Trust, a company limited by guarantee with charitable status.

Ford Park Cemetery hosts a number of exhibitions between March and November each year. These are held in the Visitor Centre.  The exhibitions, created by the volunteer heritage researchers, always try to have a reference to the history of City of Plymouth as seen through the lives of those buried at Ford Park.

I joined as a volunteer Heritage Researcher in 2010 after Graduating from Plymouth University with a MA in Social History.  I am a member of the Heritage Team and contribute to the research for exhibitions and guided walks.

In 2020 during the Plymouth History Festival, I produced a virtual guided walk to support  our Sporting Achievements  exhibition.
