About Me


I work at the intersection of research, technology and funding, with a particular focus on 6G, Wireless AI, Secure and Trustworthy AI, Agentic AI, Physical AI, AI governance and the EU AI Act.


Over the years, I have been involved in building research ideas from the early concept stage through to funded projects, publications, international collaborations and real-world technology programmes. I have secured more than €2.6M in competitive research funding across Horizon Europe, MSCA and Erasmus+, and I have also evaluated proposals for programmes including ERC, MSCA and SNS JU/6G.


Working on both sides of the process has shaped how I approach research funding. A strong proposal is not only about a good technical idea. It also needs the right positioning, clear impact, a credible team and a convincing story around why the work matters.


My academic work includes 200+ peer-reviewed publications and the supervision and mentoring of 32+ postgraduate researchers. I have worked with universities, research centres, technology companies and international partners on research ranging from future wireless networks and AI to cybersecurity and trustworthy technology.


I also contribute actively to the wider research community through leadership roles across IEEE technical communities and as a member of the Global Young Academy. Much of this work involves bringing researchers together, developing new technical communities, creating international collaborations and helping early-career researchers build their professional profile.


Alongside my academic work, I enjoy supporting researchers and organisations with research strategy, proposal development, funding readiness, publication planning and the development of stronger research portfolios. I also contribute to technical advisory work, training, panels, keynotes and discussions around emerging technologies.
