Kappa Alpha Order at Western Carolina University can trace its beginnings to the founding of the local fraternity Kappa Alpha Pi in 1963. KA Pi was created to serve as a provisional chapter of Kappa Alpha Order and would later petition to become an active chapter of KA. On October 2, 1964, the Delta Alpha Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order was officially established at what was then Western Carolina College. In its 59+ year history, Delta Alpha Chapter alumni have gone on to be very successful in their respective careers and have been actively involved in giving back to the university and its athletic department.

The 6 Pillars of Kappa Alpha Order are as followed. Reverence, Knowledge, Gentility, Leadership, and Excellence. These are the values we look for in young men, as an Order we do not mold our members into these values. We accept those already instilled with them and allow them to become the best versions of themselves.
