KCIAAO is now able to accept online payments for memberships and education.

We offer the following options for making your online credit or debit card payments:

Invoice:

If you would like to have a detailed invoice emailed to you with a link for payment please contact Christine Wheeler at cwheeler@wycokck.org or by phone at 913-573-8450. This option will offer the flexibility to pay for multiple classes, and memberships for a group of individuals.

Membership Dues

January 1 through December 31th.

Regular Member: Any government employee, who is a current member of I.A.A.O in good standing.

Associate Member: Anyone who is employed by a government agency but is not a member of I.A.A.O. Associate memberships also includes employees of other government agencies that are not involved with property tax administration.

Subscribing Member: Corporate or non-governmental employee who , as representative of private industry, subscribe to the purposed of the Chapter and wish to become affiliated with it.

IAAO COURSE 101

Fundamentals of Real Property Appraisal

July 11-15, 2022

Objective: Objective: This course is designed to provide students with an understanding and working knowledge of the procedures and techniques required to estimate the market value of vacant and improved properties. This course concentrates on the skills necessary for estimating the market value of properties using two approaches to value: the cost approach and the sales comparison approach. The Fundamentals of Real Property Appraisal utilizes lectures, classroom discussion, and homework problems to emphasize the main concepts and procedures taught in the course.

Recommended textbook: Property Assessment Valuation (PAV) – third edition

Materials: Students will receive the student reference manual and workbook on or before the first day of class. A calculator is required.

$500 for IAAO members/Government Employees

$550 for non-IAAO members.

Income Approach to Valuation

August 15-19, 2022

Objective: Course is designed to provide the students with an understanding and working knowledge of the procedures

and techniques required to estimate the market value of vacant or improved properties by the income approach. The material

covers real estate finance and investment, capitalization methods and techniques, analysis of income and expenses to

estimate operating income, selection of capitalization rates, and application of the approach. The Income Approach to

Valuation utilizes lectures, classroom discussion, and homework problems to emphasize the main concepts and procedures

taught in the course. Recommended: Course 101, and book, Property Assessment Valuation (3rd edition)
