１　あなたの周りを見てみてください。知らない漢字のことば、知りたい漢字のことば、難しい漢字のことば、おもしろい形や発音の漢字のことばなど、気になる漢字のことばがきっと見つかります。

２　紙（もしデジタルで作成するなら、画面）の中心に、その漢字のことばを書きましょう。

３　つぎに、その漢字のことばの意味や発音を調べてみましょう。ことばの由来がわかるかもしれません。

４　そのほかに、つぎのことを考えてみましょう。

●どうしてその漢字のことばが気になったのか、考えてみてください。おもしろい、と思ったのなら、その漢字のことばのどこがおもしろかったのでしょう。

●難しい漢字のことばなら、どうやって覚えたらいいでしょうか。何かいい方法が見つかりましたか。

●その漢字のことばから、あなたはどんなことを連想しますか。

●そのことばはどのように使われていますか。

●いつ、どこで、その漢字のことばを見つけたのか、それをマッピングしておけば、あなただけの漢字の日記になりますね。

５　これらをヒントに、あなたの考えたことを、イラストなども使って自由にマッピングしてみてください。

１　Take a look around you. You will surely find kanji words you don't know, kanji words you want to know, difficult kanji words, kanji words with interesting shapes and pronunciations, and other kanji words you are interested in.

２　Write the kanji word in the center of the paper (or screen, if you are creating digitally).

３　Next, look up the word meaning and pronunciation of the kanji. You may be able to find out the origin of the word.

４　In addition, consider the following

●Think about why you were interested in the kanji word.  What attracted you to it?

●If it is a difficult kanji word, how do you memorize it? Did you find any good ways?

●What do you associate with the kanji word?

●How is the word used?

●If you map when and where you found the kanji word, it will be your own kanji diary.

５　Using these as hints, feel free to map out your own ideas, using illustrations and other materials.
